16 months...

P loves to dance! He does the cutest shoulder shrug dance, as well as spinning around in circles and bouncing up and down. He especially enjoys the theme song to The Office. I have tried to get this on tape for the world to see, but as soon as I pull out the camera, he stops and reaches for it. As of today, P has 11 teeth, with at least two more preparing to poke through. In the last few days he had three canines pop through. Whenever we talk to P, he tries to repeat what we are saying. He is consistently saying yes, no, go, mama, dada, eggs, snacks, nana, papa, fish, and baby, and he has been known to say Jesus and grandma on occasion. P loves to high five, fist bump, and blow kisses, and recently he has started to give the best hugs in the world. For Christmas, P gave us a treadmill (not so subtle hint), and he is enjoying it much more than both of us combined. It is his favorite new hang out spot. P is also super helpful around the house...he LOVES to vacuum, sweep, mop, unload the dishwasher, and hand me every single item from every single drawer and cupboard in the house so that I can put it back where it came from. Overall he is F-U-N.

Book Review...

P recently received a box full of books from our favorite Borders employee, and he is VERY excited to share his opinion of these fun books.

1) "Foodie Babies Wear Bibs" by Michelle Sinclair Colman: P loves the pictures in this book, and finds that the content parallels his own life. HOWEVER, despite the fact that P would classify himself as a "foodie baby", he feels that the phrase is slightly abused in this book...don't ALL babies enjoy finger foods?

2) "The Mighty Asparagus" by V. Radunsky: P really enjoys the Italian Renaissance art that is scattered throughout this book, as well as the humorous writing style of the author. Unfortunately, we were seriously disappointed with the anti-climactic conclusion to the story...

3+4) "Hola Jalapeno" and "Mangia, Mangia" by Amy Wilson Sanger: These are P's new favorites...and mine too. We love the blend of English and Spanish/Italian words, and the unique art that can be found in both books. We also love the "dictionary" of foreign words on the back of the books...we would LOVE this entire series!
