3 months...

P has been VERY busy this past month. He had his first eye infection...

mastered the Bumpo...
developed a "bored" expression (which is the face he puts on every time I pull out the camera...he's just like his dad...)...
learned how to stick out his tongue and does so constantly (one of the many new skills he has learned after only five days in day care)...
started to scratch himself with his freakishly long nails (there is a tiny scratch on his forehead in this pic and I have to document that he gave it to himself because SOMEONE doesn't believe me...)...

and learned how to do this (as a formal protest to tummy time.)

He also gained a few pounds (weighing in at 14 lbs 5 oz) and grew an inch or so (for a total of 24 1/2 inches last time I checked). I can't wait to see what next month will bring!

Future Michael Phelps?

P really loves bath time. He seems to be a natural in the water. He takes his swimming workouts very seriously, hence the straight face.

Beautification...

The other morning I walked in on P getting ready for the day.  At first he was surprised...

then a little embarassed...

but then he realized that his desire for beautiful locks was more powerful than his pride.

My Return...

As some of you may have noticed, I have not added to the blog since baby P was born.  My absence from the blogging world can only be explained by my constant holding of the child, which makes it very difficult to type...and when I am not holding P, I am either trying to sleep, cleaning the house, or trying to spend some quality time with the spouse.  In addition, I have been told by "some people" that my blog entries are a little verbose...so I will try to keep my "diarrhea of the mouth" under control and give the people what they really want...pictures of P!

When babies are born, everyone tries to figure out who they look like, and P is no exception.  As many of you have noticed, he looks a lot like his dad.

But every once in a while, I see a little bit of my dad in him, too.  This next pic reminds me of my dad...and NOT just because P is wearing overalls, which always remind me of my dad...

I have been searching for some of me in this little guy, but I keep coming up empty.  However, the other night I found something... I was getting P ready for bed, and right before he fell asleep, he let out a really loud sigh, which woke him right up.  For all of you who have ever shared a room with me, you know that I do that almost every night!  Now I am concerned that P will have my temperament, too...which means we are in for one wild ride!
