December 24th: Wear new PJ's to bed and put out cookies for Santa

And here is a shot of the finished "Christmas Craft" that we made a few weeks ago... a cookie plate for Santa.

December 22nd: Act out the Nativity with toys

We have been reading the "scripture a day" activity that our primary gave us to get ready for Christmas, and today P told us the entire Nativity story in his own words.  Unfortunately, I thought I was recording it but my phone was out of memory, so we just have these cute pictures.

And as a bonus, here is P, or "Santa" asking all of the "kids" what they want for Christmas.

And yes, those are Winnie the Pooh Christmas lights decorating P's room... he loves them.  We had some Winnie the Pooh Christmas lights when I was growing up, and my sister sent these to me a few years ago...in memory of our younger years.

December 21st: Go out to lunch as a family

We went to Ruby River...not exactly P's choice (which probably would have been IHOP), but Dad was satisfied...

December 19th: Visit Santa

The other day, P pulled out a sheet of paper and started asking me how to spell things.  I didn't realize it right away, but he was writing a letter to Santa.  In his letter, he asked for a Papa truck with a trailer, then he drew a picture on the back of the letter of a Papa truck.  Today P gave this letter to Santa, and he was so excited to read it to him.

December 17th: Deliver neighbor gifts and drive around to see the lights

P was more excited about writing on the paper than he was about seeing the lights.

December 16th: Boys Night Out

Tonight P and Dad spent the whole night together doing "guy stuff"...I was not allowed to know what they did, but I received this picture around 5:45pm...

Today was also P's Christmas Singing Program at school.  We recorded each of the songs, but after the first song, P stated (very loudly) "My mom and dad didn't clap! You told me they would clap!"  We were holding our phones recording and I guess he noticed we didn't put them down to clap.  So, we clapped extra loud for the rest of the songs.  And for your listening pleasure:

December 15th: Make Neighbor Gifts

P was tired of me taking pictures so he refused to continue until I took a picture of his bum...

December 14th: Czech Family Christmas Party

P's favorite gift... an elf hat.  He fell asleep on the car ride home, and when Dad took him out of the car to put him in his room, the hat fell off.  P woke up immediately and started freaking out about his hat being gone.  Guess who is sleeping in an elf hat tonight?
