Happy Halloween!

P had a very busy Halloween week... a ward party, a school party, a party at Dad's work, and trick-or-treating...all as Henry Hugglemonster (thank you Aunt Jen for the amazing hats...they were a hit! And thank you Nana for making the wings!)

When we got home from a LONG night of trick-or-treating, P wanted to scare the kids who came to our house.  There is a bowl at Dad's work that has a skeleton that moves and scares him, so he wanted to be just like that skeleton.  He sat in this chair for several minutes just waiting for kids to grab for candy so he could scare them.  And when I opened the door for the only group of kids that came that late, he screamed BOO! at them.

Playing School

Every day, after preschool, P wants to "Play School".  He sets up his animals around a table, chooses a few to be teachers with him, then he begins to instruct the class.  This is how I learn what he did at school that day.  When I ask him what he learned at school, he says "Everything".  When I ask him who he played with, he says "Everyone". When I ask him what they talked about, he says "Everything".  So, I just have to watch what he teaches the animals.

1st Day of Preschool!

We asked P how he wanted to do his hair for the first day of Preschool..."spiky", "handsome", "normal"...  He said "fancy".  So this is his "fancy" hair...

This is a poster that P made while I was making his other poster...it is a picture of a cowboy, the cowboy's horse, Mike Wazowski and Sully (not to scale)
P showing me one of his assignments for the day (cutting a straight line).
He had a great first day.  He was not overly interested in the other kids in the class, even though there are two girls from our ward in his class.  He told me that he didn't get to do any learning because the teachers were doing all the learning (by "learning" I think he means "talking" here...).  P told me that one of the little boys had to sit in the time out chair today, but it was not him.  And he went potty twice...in 2 1/2 hours...doesn't that seem excessive?
