December 13th: Make a craft with Mom

We went to Color Me Mine today to make a cookie plate for Santa's cookies.  It is still a work in progress...completed pictures will come soon.  

December 12th: Make cards for Aunts and Uncles

P was very serious about making cards for his two aunts and three uncles.  He knew exactly what he wanted to draw for each one of them, and I was surprised by who he wanted to give some of the pictures to.  For example, P has an aunt who is kind of obsessed with the Seahawks (and who has gone to almost all of their home games this year)...so who does he draw a football stadium for?  Somebody else, who doesn't really love football.  His pictures included a football stadium, a monster with lots of eyes, a soccer ball, Santa's sleigh, and 3 Christmas trees.  He also wanted to look at pictures of the person he was coloring for while he was coloring...cute, right?  

 These are the rejects...the ones that P thought were not good enough to give to someone.

December 11th: Make a gift for teachers and family

I will post the finished product sometime after the holidays...I don't want to ruin the surprise for anyone.

December 7th: Wrap Presents

Today it snowed all day, so it was a perfect day to stay home and wrap presents...all day.  

 We took a break from wrapping to shovel the driveway.  The snow was not great for snowman building, but it was great for snowball fights.  P could not stop smiling with his mischievous smile when he was about to throw a snowball. 

December 6th: Christmas Shopping for family

A friend of mine gave me a fun idea to take P to the dollar store and let him pick out things that he thought the members of our family would enjoy.  We had a nice conversation before arriving at the store and SEVERAL times while at the store about how it is more important to give than to receive, and how we were not at the store to buy presents for him.  Jesus was mentioned several times.  P wanted pretty much everything in the store, and he became a little upset after he picked a gift specifically for grandpa and then decided it should be for him instead...and I wouldn't let him have it.  I hope all you family members are excited to find out what he chose for you!
