December 11th: Drive Around to See the Lights...in our Pajamas!

We found everything on this list except a dolphin and snoopy (and I am pretty sure we never saw the Grinch, but P swears we did...).  My question is...why is a dolphin on this list?  I don't know that I have ever, ever seen a dolphin...
We stopped by Kneaders on the way home for a delicious cookie treat, and I snapped a shot of P while he was enjoying his cookie. I showed him this picture and he could not stop laughing at himself.
Bonus shot:  "Santa" in his "sleigh" being pulled by a his "reindeer".

December 10th: Have a Special Christmas Family Home Evening

Today at his sitter's house, P was Santa all day.  He turned the corner castle into Santa's Workshop...and he refused to allow anyone else into his workshop until one of the other kids told him that they were all his elves.  He can quote you "Twas the Night Before Christmas" and The Grinch.  This child is obsessed with Santa, Frosty, Christmas Trees, lights, and all the other fun aspects of Christmas.  So tonight we focused on the real reason we celebrate Christmas.  P's favorite part of the night was learning about the new star, and when we watched a little segment of Joy to the World, he could not wait to see the star.  But I have a feeling that the jolly old elf will be returning tomorrow.  He also told me tonight that he needs to have pink cheeks because he is Santa, and Santa has rosy cheeks.

 P looks thrilled, doesn't he?
P's favorite activity of the night...being the garbage man.

December 5th: Find the Pickle...Get a Present!

This last picture is P lining up his "garbage cans"...he is kind of obsessed with everything related to the garbage truck right now, and these really look like perfect garbage cans.

December 2nd: Watch a Christmas Movie

While preparing to watch The Grinch, I asked P to smile... this is what I got:
Bonus Pictures: Dressing up like Santa Claus (yes, that is a tree skirt...)

PS. No, P is not drunk...his skin is just really dry and he can't stop rubbing it.

Cowboy Phase...

A few weekends ago, Grandpa and Great Grandpa took P to a rodeo...and he can not stop talking about it.  He has been dressing up like a cowboy every day, and he requires me to either be a cowgirl or a horse, and Daddy is either a cowboy or a bull.  I tried to get a picture of him as a cowboy, and this is what I got:
He was happy to be a cowboy, he just wanted the camera.  Anyway, because of this obsession, I thought it would be fun to take him to ride a real horse at Thanksgiving Point.  He loved being a real cowboy.
During the ride, they had to stop all the animals for a "potty break" so that one of the horses could pee. This was P's favorite part of the ride, and the part that he reenacts now.  Tonight, he was pretending to be a bull, and he stopped...I asked him why he stopped, and he said "I'm peeing"...but he wasn't.  He was pretending to pee.  Awesome.  Potty training is going to be REALLY fun now that he is pretending to be an animal that he saw peeing on the ground...

Moab

Nana and Papa came to visit, and they took us to Moab for a day.  It was cold and rainy and super windy, but it was fun too.
