I've always wondered why everyone calls it the 4th of July...do you think we can start a trend by calling Christmas the 25th of December and Valentine's Day the 14th of February? This year for Independence Day we spent the entire day with Dave, Brooke, Mark and Lisa. We woke up early to go to the parade and even though it took us 30 minutes to find parking and we had to pay $6 because we couldn't get to Dave's free parking lot the parade was fun. The best part of the parade had to be the missionaries from the Provo mission....only in Utah.
After the parade we waited for the traffic to die down and headed over to Kiwanas park for a picnic. We spent a few hours there eating and playing games in the heat. After the picnic Mark and Lisa took us to see Wall E, which was fun. After Wall E we went back to Dave's house and learned how to play Ticket to Ride (Brooke killed us). Finally to end the day we walked up to BYU campus and watched the Stadium of Fire fireworks from near the old president's house/visitors center.
